General Policy

Aims & Scope

Scientific Publications of the State University of Novi Pazar, Series A: Applied Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics publishes original research articles that represent significant contributions which are of broad interests to the fields of applied mathematics, informatics and mechanics. Contributions may deal with, but are not limited to, design and analysis of algorithms, computational complexity, combinatorics, graph theory, signal processing, image processing, high-performance computing, parallel processing and communications, dynamical systems, solid and structural mechanics, fluid mechanics, mechanics of materials. Surveys and review articles providing the researchers detailed information on current problems and future problems in a research topic, are also welcome. Articles submitted for publication in Scientific Publications of the State University of Novi Pazar have to be in their final form and must not be copyrighted, published, or submitted for publication elsewhere. Scientific Publications of the State University of Novi Pazar, Series A: Applied Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics follows strict peer-review and ethical publishing standards in order to ensure high-quality research dissemination.

Review Process

All papers submitted for publication will go through a single blind peer-review process. Each paper will be reviewed by experts in the corresponding field.

Publishing Ethics

Scientific Publications of the State University of Novi Pazar, Series A: Applied Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics, follows ethics norms accepted by the international scientific community. The Journal and its Editorial Board fully agree with the policies and principles of the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE), in all matters related to research integrity, authorship, and the handling of misconduct. For all parties involved in the publishing process, authors, editors, and reviewers, it is necessary to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior.

Editorial Responsibilities

Editor-in-Chief is responsible for deciding which of the manuscripts submitted to the journal will be published, based on the validation of the work under consideration, its importance for researchers and readers, the reviewers' comments, and legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The Editor-in-Chief may confer with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.
The Editors must not hold any conflict of interest with respect to the paper under consideration for publication. As the journal operates a single-blind peer review process, it is Editors' responsibility to protect the anonymity of the reviewers.
The Editors assign the reviewers who are experts in the papers' areas and avoid conflict of interest.
Editors and all staff members will ensure that the submitted paper remains confidential during the reviewing process.
Editors should evaluate articles free from any racial, gender, sexual, religious, ethnic, or political bias.
Editors should not make any use of the unpublished material in the submitted paper for their own research, unless they have written permission of the author.

Reviewers' Responsibilities

Peer review assists in the editorial decision process and as such should express their views clearly with supporting arguments. Also, through the editorial communication with the author, reviewers may assist the author in improving the manuscript.
Reviewers must evaluate all submissions objectively, fairly and professionally.
Reviewers must not have conflict of interest with respect to the research, the authors and/or the funding sources for the research. The existence of such conflicts should be reported to the Editor by the reviewer.
All of the reviewers of a paper act independently and they are not aware of each other's identities.
Reviewers should not make any use of the unpublished material in the submitted paper for their own research, unless they have written permission of the author.
Reviewers and editors are not supposed to communicate directly with the authors. All communications are through the Editorial Office.

Authors' Responsibilities

The authors should ensure that their submitted papers are original, which are not copyrighted, published or submitted for publication in another journal. If the authors have used the work and/or words of others this has been appropriately cited or quoted.
Submitted articles are considered for reviewing with the understanding that the same article has not been copyrighted, published, or submitted for publication elsewhere, nor is presently submitted elsewhere, and that all listed authors have given their approval for the submission of the paper.
Authors should disclose in their submission all relationships, any financial or other substantive conflict of interest that might be viewed to influence results in their paper. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
When an author discovers significant error or inaccuracy in his/her published paper, or if the editor/publisher learns from a third party that a published paper contains a significant error or inaccuracy, it is the author's obligation to cooperate with Editors to correct the paper in the form of erratum or to reject the paper.
It is not allowed to change the order of authors, or delete the authors, or change the corresponding author after the initial submission of the manuscript. Such submissions will be automatically rejected.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is scientific misconduct and in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior which is unacceptable. All papers with detected obvious signs of plagiarism will be automatically rejected.

Generative AI Policy

Authors must declare the use of generative AI in the manuscript preparation process upon submission of the paper. Declaring the use of AI tools supports transparency and trust between authors, readers, reviewers, editors and contributors and facilitates compliance with the terms of use of the relevant AI tool.
AI technology should always be applied with human oversight and control. AI tools, including generative models like ChatGPT, cannot be credited as authors. Authorship requires responsibility for the integrity, accuracy, and ethical standards of the work.
Manuscripts should not be submitted if generative AI tools have been used in ways that compromise core responsibilities of researchers and authors. Authors may use AI tools to enhance language and readability. Authors are fully responsible for all content of the manuscript, including that produced with AI assistance.
If AI tools have been used, a disclosure statement upon submission is required. The use of AI tools in the manuscript preparation process must be declared by adding a statement entitled “Declaration of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the manuscript preparation process” upon submission. The statement should be placed in a new section before the references list, and will appear in the published paper. If authors have nothing to disclose, they do not need to add a statement.
Reviewers and editors should not use AI tools in the peer review and manuscript evaluation process.

Open Access Policy

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

Copyright

Authors retain copyright to their work. Authors grant Scientific Publications of the State University of Novi Pazar, Series A: Applied Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics the license to publish and distribute the article within the journal's networks in electronic and print version, and allows the indexing in other services. The article and any associated published materials are distributed under the Creative Commons License CC BY-ND 4.0.

Publication Fees

Scientific Publications of the State University of Novi Pazar Series A: Applied Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics follows a free-of-charge policy for both authors and readers.
